Responsibilities & Requirements

Job Requirements 
Minimum Education
High School diploma, or equivalent required
 
Minimum Work Experience
Experience in general Maintenance Work desired, preferably Health care maintenance
 
Required Licenses
Other
Valid driver’s license required
 
Required Skills
-Knowledge of basic tools requiring dexterity, hand eye coordination and visual coordination
-PC skills (Word, Excel) Preferred
-In good health with adequate strength and endurance to perform assigned tasks and responsibilities.
-Knowledge of how to work safely.
-Willing to be trained in any of the categories of maintenance and repair in which he may have need of instruction.
-Knowledge of the use of basic hand and power tools and test equipment used in maintenance.
-Must be able to read and write legibly.
Required Skills
- Strong hand-eye coordination, dexterity, and visual coordination
- Communicates well with patients/visitors, department team members, and other hospital staff
- Proficient in Word and Excel
- Demonstrated ability in using machines, tools, repair of equipment, and maintenance
- Demonstrated understanding of relevant equipment, policies (internal and network), and procedures to promote safe operations
 
Essential Functions 
-This person will be driving large Box truck (CDL not required) able to lift over 100 lbs. communication with staff and Leaders required. 
- Manage department calls and navigate facility Work Order System.
- Complete assigned/unassigned Work Orders in a timely manner.
- Complete scheduled preventative maintenance assignments on facilities equipment/systems. Record and maintain documentation for preventative maintenance assignments.
- Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

Carpentry skills preferred
