Responsibilities & Requirements
The Nurse Assistant / Health Unit Coordinator supports patient care and unit operations by providing direct assistance to patients with daily living activities and performing essential administrative and clerical functions. This dual role ensures effective communication, accurate record keeping, and a safe, organized environment for patients and staff. Performs other duties as assigned. All job responsibilities are to be carried out in alignment with Kettering Health's mission, vision, values, and B Safe program.None required.6 months experience in patient care or administrative support in a healthcare setting, or State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification in Ohio.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association within three months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
One year of experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in patient care or administrative support. Health Unit Coordinator certification. State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification in Ohio. Current certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) and active status on the Ohio Nurse Aide Registry.
