Responsibilities & Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Supports the prescription fulfillment process under pharmacist supervision, including data entry, preparation, counting, labeling, packaging, and distribution of medications.
Assists pharmacists with workflows specific to high-touch specialty and oral oncology medications.
Communicates with patients and caregivers to coordinate refills, resolve routine questions, and support timely medication access.
Coordinates with the oncology care team to support efficient prescription processing and continuity of care.
Performs inventory management activities including ordering, stocking, and monitoring specialty medications.
Maintains accurate pharmacy records and documentation in accordance with policies and regulations.
Follows all applicable state and federal regulations and specialty pharmacy policies.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
Current PTCB or NHA certification required.
Active Certified Registered Pharmacy Technician license with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy required.
Minimum of two (2) years of pharmacy technician experience.
Specialty pharmacy, oncology, or high-touch patient care experience preferred.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with patients, caregivers, and healthcare teams.
Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.
