Responsibilities & Requirements

Minimum Education

Must possess a minimum of a Bachelor degree in education or mental health field.

Minimum Work Experience

Prefer a minimum of one year of psychiatric hospital inpatient group experience.

Required Skills

Possess the ability to exercise good clinical judgment in assessing patient's mental status and ongoing inpatient programming needs. Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills (written and verbal) and the ability to plan, communicate and execute work efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications

• Responsible for completing group documentation requirements timely
• Conducts group sessions as scheduled
• Coordinates group programming with MHT staff to ensure completion
• Demonstrates flexible scheduling to meet patient needs
• Demonstrates effective interpersonal communication skills. Accurately communicates patient information to key individuals associated in the care of the patient (i.e. Physician, Charge Nurse, Psychiatrist, Inpatient Psychiatry Charge Nurse).
