Responsibilities & Requirements
Provides assessment of educational needs and facilitation of unit compliance. Assists Clinical Nurse Manager in identification, planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation of unit activities, projects, and hospital wide programs. The Assistant Nurse Manager reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager.

- Assists in unit compliance with accreditation standards
- Serves as a clinical resource for staff regarding standards and provision of patient care
- Participates as representative as indicated by Clinical Nurse Manager/Director
- Demonstrates continued progress by improving competencies and skill development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrates self-motivation, independent work habits and flexibility
- Demonstrates current nursing knowledge
- Demonstrates knowledge of and adherence to departmental policies and procedures
- Accepts responsibility for the impact of actions on patients, visitors and other healthcare team members
- Demonstrates accountability, reports mistakes and "near misses" timely and accurately
- Demonstrates understanding of continuous improvement through processes that support QA/PI strategic focus and goals
- Ensures appropriate procedures and guidelines are followed; attention to detail/safety
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in nursing required within 3 years of employment
- Active RN license in the state of Ohio
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience
- Primarily pm and night shifts. 3 to 4 nights will be from 3 pm - 11 pm and then varied.
- ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC per unit requirement
- Demonstrates leadership and teaching abilities
- Demonstrates professional and ethical behavior
- Must be passionate about nursing and teamwork
